and removal of nests from Structures and Equipment

Swarm Collections:

Calling about Swarms is time critical as the bee swarm can very quickly

move into the structure resulting in a removal service which is more costly

and may result in repairs being needed.

Nest removals:

Once bees have moved into your structure they quickly start building honeycomb to

give the Queen somewhere to lay eggs and produce more bees.

It is really important to deal with a wild Bee nest as quickly as possible as the nest will keep growing

and become more of a problem as time goes on.

Most removals result in some sort of deconstruction of the building to gain access

to the bees and their comb. We always try to do the minimum amount of damage to access the bees.

Repairs to the building are to be done by others and are not included in the quoted cost.

Costs to remove a feral nest from a structure or equipment vary depending on size of nest,

location and access, height above ground and how long they have been in the structure.

Eradication.

Eradicating a nest is never a good idea and is only done as a last resort when there

is no way to remove the bees.   If the nest is eradicated most of the bees, brood (baby bees),

honeycomb, honey, nectar and Pollen are left in the cavity.

This can create an unpleasant smell and attracts vermin such as roaches, mice, rats, ants etc.

In our hot climate, without the live bees to cool the nest, the honeycomb can melt and honey can leak out of the cavity.
